Network

The BitcoinII network, live: hashrate, difficulty, the latest blocks and transactions, and the countdown to the next halving. Straight from the public block explorer.

Halving and supply

Next halving

Halving at block
210,000
Estimated date
—
Block reward now
50 BC2

The date is an estimate from the recent average block time. It moves as hashrate changes.

Issuance

— of the 21 million cap issued

0%
Maximum supply
21,000,000 BC2
Halving interval
210,000 blocks

Worked out from the live block height and the fixed schedule (50 BC2 per block, halving every 210,000 blocks). Coins a miner left unclaimed are not subtracted.

Issuance scheduleShare of the 21 million cap issued by block height

50% of all coins by block 210,000, 75% by 420,000 and 87.5% by 630,000. Every 210,000 blocks the reward halves.

Network growth

How the BC2 network is growing, from what the public explorer publishes. The history is sampled at 16 points across the whole chain, so it loads quickly.

Why there’s no “number of wallets”

A blockchain records addresses and amounts, not wallets: one wallet normally uses many addresses, so nobody can count wallets from the chain. The public explorer (the standard mempool software) also has no endpoint for counting addresses or for a balance distribution (“rich list”). The unspent-output count above is the closest honest measure it publishes. If the explorer operators add address statistics, this section can show them. Where this data comes from
