The BitcoinII whitepaper

The project’s whitepaper sets out the idea: a faithful re-deployment of Bitcoin’s original protocol on a new network, with no premine.

The BitcoinII whitepaper was published on August 18, 2025. In its own words, BitcoinII is “a faithful re-deployment of the original protocol”: Bitcoin’s rules and SHA-256 proof of work, started again from a clean genesis block, with no premine.

It describes BitcoinII as “not competition to Bitcoin, but complement: a second option, based on the same protocol”, and commits to “Bitcoin’s original purpose as a borderless, censorship resistant, inflation proof, responsible monetary system”.
